Senior analyst / Project leader, Nordic Power Markets

We are looking for a candidate to join our power market analysis department in Oslo. The department delivers market data, fundamental supply, demand and price forecasts and in depth market analysis reports. The majority of companies trading actively in the Nordic and Continental power markets are subscribing to our analysis services.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project leader for the SDDP Interactive project; a fundamental price modeling tool, making it possible for customers to run price scenarios based on their own assumptions
- SDDP model development
- Expert advice on model interpretation
- Market analysis, price forecasts and market reports
- Improve and expand our service for the Nordic market
- Customer contact and sales activities
- Participate in cross commodity projects in Point Carbon (ex. gas, power, carbon)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Higher education in economics, statistics, mathematics or engineering
- Strong academic records
- Good command of English
- Proficiency in use of analytical software (ex. Excel, MatLab)
- Experience with programming (ex. MatLab, Python) will be an advantage
- Experience from relevant market analysis
