Analysts / Senior analysts, Nordic and Continental Power Markets

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Analyse supply and demand of the European power markets
• Analyse price development and price drivers of the spot and forward markets
• Develop, improve and run quantitative models
• Prepare market reports and price forecasts
• Improve and expand our services for these markets
• Customer contact
• Participate in cross commodity projects in Point Carbon (ex. gas, power, carbon)    

Qualifications

• Higher education in economics, statistics, mathematics or engineering
• Strong academic records
• Good command of English
• Proficiency in use of analytical software (ex. Excel, MatLab)
• Experience with programming (ex. MatLab, Python) will be an advantage
• Experience from relevant market analysis will be an advantage
