Information for Journalists wishing to attend CMI09
In the year that Kyoto’s successor agreement is due to be negotiated, all eyes will be on Carbon Market Insights 2009, the annual event for the world's carbon markets.
Included in an illustrious list of speakers at this year’s conference are:
• Yvo de Boer, UNFCCC Executive Secretary
• Jos Delbeke European Commission, Deputy Director-General, DG
Environment
• Pavan Sukhdev UNEP Head of Green Economy initiative and Deutsche Bank’s
Managing Director of Global Markets business in India.
• Roger Harrabin BBC’s environment analyst
Press events will include the launch of the Carbon 2009 report, the largest survey ever done on the carbon markets. The report provides the most comprehensive overview of the international carbon market to date. It is based on Point Carbon's databases and market intelligence, together with the world's largest survey on the carbon market. The report gives a full overview of the market in 2008; volumes, prices, value, interactions with power prices, and the market's expectations for the 2009 and Phase II, as well as other EU ETS-related topics. A press release will be issued and the report’s launch will be accompanied by a press conference held on Tuesday, 12:30-13:30. Senior members of Point Carbon’s analysis departments will be available to take questions and Per-Otto Wold, Point Carbon’s CEO, will also take questions from journalists on any topic.
To gain a press pass, contact Point Carbon’s PR Manager, Candida Jones, at cjo@pointcarbon.com or +44 (0) 7775 754 763.
If you have any other questions you can contact Candida Jones or the conference department at conference@pointcarbon.com or + 37 22 40 53 47.
We look forward to seeing you in Copenhagen!
