VAT
NB: Dutch VAT is 19%
Claiming back your VAT:
As of January 1, 2010, attendees/taxpayers established in the EU can reclaim any Dutch VAT through their local tax office. So please contact your local VAT/tax advisors.

Please see here for further information: http://www.belastingdienst.nl/variabel/buitenland/en/business_taxpayers/business_taxpayers-127.html

Attendees/taxpayers established outside the EU can reclaim any Dutch VAT by means of a so-called Thirteenth Directive refund claim.

Please contact the Dutch Tax office: http://www.belastingdienst.nl/variabel/buitenland/en/business_taxpayers/business_taxpayers-127.html

Certain conditions need to be met, for instance the attendee should register in the Netherlands for VAT refund purposes. Moreover, the total amount of Dutch VAT to be reclaimed should be a minimum of EUR 400 if the reclaim period is shorter than a year.

If attendees are already registered in the Netherlands for tax payer purposes, they can reclaim the Dutch VAT by means of their Dutch VAT returns.
