New California car rules to cut 52 mln tonnes CO2 by 2025

California regulators on Friday adopted rules designed to boost the number of low and zero-emissions vehicles sold in the state between 2017 and 2025, which could reduce the amount of CO2 equivalent from cars and light trucks by 50 percent compared to today's levels.
