RWE CO2 demand up 29 pct, says 2013 bill to reach 1.2 bln euros

LONDON, March 5 (Reuters Point Carbon) – Power generator RWE Group, the EU’s biggest emitter of carbon dioxide, needed to buy 58.4 million carbon permits in 2012, up 29 percent or 13.1 million as lower coal and carbon prices meant the German energy company ran its coal plants hard.
