25 Jan 2010 11:14
POINT CARBON ANALYSIS - We have lowered our forecast for a bill with a cap-and-trade program passing the US Congress by the end of 2010 to 20 percent. Due to this and to the outcome in Copenhagen, we have also reduced the probability of EUA moving to a 30 percent reduction target, bringing our long-term price outlook for EUAs to €34 in 2016. In sum, these developments point towards a continued stalemate in the international negotiations.
