CERs, ERUs and AAUs in national registries

POINT CARBON ANALYSIS - Yesterday, the UNFCCC made available data on the CERs, ERUs and AAUs held in national registries as of 31 December 2009. Japan, Germany and Spain hold the largest amounts of CERs, while Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria have the largest amounts of ERUs. For several reasons, the changes in AAU holdings do not coincide with the volumes exchanged in reported AAU deals. What are the changes from the 2008 data for these three units, and how can these be explained?
