Last EB meeting: Chinese wind and hydro facing challenges

POINT CARBON ANALYSIS - At its 52nd meeting, from 8 to 12 February in Bonn, the EB rejected a total of 12 projects: six Chinese wind projects, four energy efficiency projects (three from China, one from India), one fugitive emissions project from coal mines, and one Indian wind project. The EB is continuing to scrutinise Chinese wind projects. It is now also throwing a large share of Chinese hydro projects into the review loop. With regards to DOEs, the EB continues to implement its new accreditation procedures and stricter requirements on how they perform their work.
