CMM May 2010: Towards demand-based offset contracts?

POINT CARBON ANALYSIS - In this month's Carbon Market Monitor, we explore how future offset contracts could be structured from a demand perspective. By demand-focused contracts we mean that the contracts will be based on where credits are eligible, not where they come from, or which projects they stem from. In addition, we provide market comments, data and analysis on the EU ETS, CDM, JI, AAU, RGGI, NZ ETS and carbon markets in Japan and Australia. This issue of Carbon Market Monitor also contains new sections on New Zealand, Japan and emission reduction efforts in developing countries.
