Power Market Trader EEX is aimed at professionals active in the continental power markets. The analysis is focused mainly on the German power market, however fundamental data regarding French, Austrian and Swiss power markets is presented too. Every morning a daily market analysis is published with fundamental recommendations on the market movements and next day’s EEX spot price. Wind power, consumption, nuclear power, exchange and hydro power are some of the fundamental inputs that we monitor based upon various weather forecasts and our own proprietary models.
Point Carbon Power & Gas receives weather forecasts from both the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecast (UK) and the Global Forecasting System (US), in addition to local weather models from the German and Swiss met. offices. This information is then analysed by our own in-house meteorological experts and used by our analysts to make specific forecasts for demand and supply.
We also offer a variety of downloadable data available to our subscribers, enabling them to keep their own databases updated and accurate.
Our daily analysis is published over the internet every morning before the trading day starts and is updated continuously throughout the day. The reports contain forecasts based on our proprietary models and our analysts’ market assessments, including a variety of supply and demand forecasts and the latest weather forecasts from several meteorological offices. We continuously check the accuracy of our predictions against benchmarks which are available for our customers to review.
